MARGATE, FL – Bill Perry, a seasoned Private Investigator with roots in the roughest neighborhoods of the South Bronx, announces the release of his transformative new book, From Hell 2 Heaven: Through the Eyes of a P.I.. Part gritty crime memoir, part spiritual testament, the book chronicles Perry’s journey from surviving the "Fort Apache" era of the Bronx to his miraculous resuscitation after dying twice in a Florida hospital on February 12, 2025.
Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Perry’s life began with a miracle when doctors predicted neither he nor his mother would survive his birth. After moving to New York, he navigated the dangerous world of the South Bronx, gaining unique protection from the notorious "Savage Skulls" gang before eventually training under famed Private Investigator Vinny Parco.
Today, Perry operates a private investigation agency in Florida alongside his wife, Dorla, specializing in high-stakes cases including missing persons and the modern epidemic of human trafficking. His book serves as a bridge between the tactical world of investigation and the spiritual world of faith, specifically addressing the "warzone" of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
"I became the walking dead because I died while walking," says Perry, recounting the moment his heart stopped following a medical procedure. "Jesus called me back because there is a story that needs to be told—about the shadows we chase on the streets and the light that brings us home".
